Erotic jewellery is a term used broadly — and often imprecisely — to describe body jewellery worn in intimate contexts or for intimate purposes. At REPIOR, we prefer the term intimate jewellery — because it is more accurate. But since erotic jewellery is how many people search for what we make, this guide will explain the distinction, the overlap, and what to look for.

What Is Erotic Jewellery?

The term erotic jewellery covers a wide spectrum — from decorative nipple covers worn under clothing, to body chains worn in intimate contexts, to labial adornments designed for specific sensory or aesthetic purposes. What unites them is context: jewellery worn in or for intimate settings, for the wearer’s own pleasure or for shared experience.

Erotic Jewellery vs Intimate Jewellery: The Distinction

Intimate jewellery is the broader category. It includes all jewellery designed for the intimate areas of the body — nipples, torso, waist, labial area — regardless of purpose. Erotic jewellery is a subset with an explicit focus on sensory experience and intimate context. Not all intimate jewellery is erotic. All erotic jewellery is intimate. What to Look for in Erotic Jewellery

Material safety

Any jewellery worn against intimate skin must be made from body-safe materials. Avoid plated metals, unknown alloys, or anything without clear material specifications. At REPIOR, we use hypoallergenic copper, stainless steel, and aluminium — no coatings, no plating, fully traceable.

Fit and comfort

Jewellery that doesn’t fit properly is not erotic. It is a distraction. Made-to-order or fully adjustable pieces are essential in this category. Generic sizing is not adequate.

Quality of making
