Copper Nipple Barbell: SHELL by REPIOR®

SHELL is a copper nipple barbell made for pierced nipples. The bar, in coated copper, is worn through a healed nipple piercing and rests horizontally across the nipple, shaped and finished by hand in our studio in eight finishes, from 14K gold plated to black copper.

Copper is a warm metal, and against bare skin it reads warmer still. In gold plate it glows; in blue or black it turns graphic and cool.

A Hard Line, A Soft Centre

SHELL is protective and exposed at once, a firm edge around something soft. A bar through a piercing is exactly that: structure laid across the most delicate part of the body, framing it rather than hiding it.

Each bar is shaped and finished by hand, then checked before it is packed. Copper was chosen for its warmth and for the range of plated and coloured finishes it can carry.

How to Wear It

SHELL is piercing jewellery. Insert the bar through a fully healed nipple piercing, never a fresh or healing one, so it rests horizontally across the nipple. If you are unsure of your gauge or bar length, check with your piercer before ordering. Take it out if you notice soreness, redness or swelling.

Care Instructions

Clean before and after every wear with warm water and a mild, unscented soap, rinse well and dry thoroughly. Plated and coloured copper finishes can tarnish over time: polish gently with a soft, dry cloth and keep the bar away from moisture and perfume between wears. Never share intimate pieces, and stop at once if you feel numbness, pain or a change in skin colour. If your skin reacts to metals, read about hypoallergenic metals in body jewellery.
