Steel Waist Chain Jewellery: AXIS by REPIOR®

AXIS is steel waist chain jewellery, assembled by hand in our studio. It encircles the waist and draws a line along the body’s centre, so the eye follows the natural axis of the torso. It rests on the skin, fastens simply and needs no piercing.

Every body has a line it balances on, an invisible plumb line from collarbone to hip. AXIS makes that line visible for a moment, in steel, so the body looks both grounded and in motion.

Drawn on the Centre Line

AXIS is drawn along a single line, the body’s own centre of balance. The design is restrained on purpose: nothing decorative, only proportion. The steel follows the waist, and the centre does the rest.

Each chain is assembled and finished by hand. Steel keeps the line crisp and resists tarnish, so the piece looks the same on the hundredth wear as on the first.

How to Wear It

Fasten the chain at the waist and let it settle so the line falls straight along the centre of the body. Wear it on bare skin with high-waisted trousers, over a swimsuit, or under a sheer shirt. Remove before sleeping or swimming.

Care Instructions

Rinse in warm water with a mild, unscented soap and dry thoroughly. Steel resists tarnish and needs no polishing; remove it before swimming in chlorinated or salt water, and store it flat in a pouch so it stays untangled.
