SUTURE is a steel nose stud with a small butterfly, made for a pierced nose. It is worn through an existing piercing, so it is for those who already have one. Steel keeps the butterfly’s outline crisp and its surface bright, and resists tarnish through everyday wear.

Seen from across a room it might be a real one, paused for a moment on your face before deciding where to go next.

A Stitch With Wings

SUTURE borrows its name from the surgeon’s stitch: a line that closes, holds and heals. A piercing is a kind of mark that has healed, and the butterfly is what you choose to place there afterwards, a small sign of transformation sitting exactly where the change happened.

Each SUTURE is prepared individually in our studio and checked by hand so the wings are clean, the finish smooth and the stud comfortable in a healed piercing.

How to Wear It

SUTURE is for a fully healed piercing. Clean your hands and the stud, then insert it gently through the piercing with the butterfly facing outward. Care Instructions

Steel resists tarnish. Rinse the stud in warm water with a mild soap after removing it, dry carefully around the wings and store it in a pouch. Look after your piercing as your piercer advised. For sensitive skin, read about hypoallergenic metals in body jewellery.
