Aluminium Full Body Chain: SUTURE by REPIOR®

SUTURE is an aluminium full body chain, shaped by hand in our studio and designed to run the whole length of the torso. It fastens at the neck, then descends down the centre of the body, over the chest and the navel, to the pelvis. No piercing at any point.

Aluminium is so light that the piece reads more like a drawing than an object: a silver line traced from collar to hip, rising and falling with each breath.

Light in the hand. Impossible to ignore on the body.

The Surgeon’s Stitch

SUTURE borrows its name from medicine: the stitch that closes a wound, holds two edges together and lets them heal. Here the idea becomes ornament. The chain runs where a seam might run, uniting the upper and lower body in one continuous line.

Each SUTURE is formed by hand from aluminium wire. The line is shaped, measured against the proportions of the torso and joined piece by piece, so it falls straight and settles flat against the skin.

How to Wear It

Fasten the neck section, let the chain descend along the centre of the body and settle the lower end at the pelvis. Adjust so it lies smoothly without pulling. Because aluminium is soft, handle the chain gently when putting it on and taking it off.

Care Instructions

Aluminium is light and nickel-free: wipe it dry after wearing and store it in its own pouch so it is not bent by heavier pieces. Clean before and after every wear with warm water and a mild, unscented soap. Never share intimate pieces, and stop at once if you feel numbness, pain or a change in skin colour.
