VALVE Turquoise is a turquoise necklace to nipple chain made by hand from coated copper wire. A necklace with turquoise detail rests at the base of the neck. Choose to wear it on its own, or with chains that descend across the chest to non-piercing nipple attachments: a bar, nooses or rings.

Turquoise has been worn as a protective stone for thousands of years. Here it sits at the throat like a small piece of sky, watching over everything below.

Open, Close, Hold

VALVE is a study in pressure: a form that opens, closes and holds with intent. This version makes that literal in its options. Close it at the neck as a necklace, or open it out into a body chain that holds at the chest, depending on the hour and the mood.

Each piece is formed in our studio. The necklace is shaped and the turquoise set by hand, the chains are measured and joined, and each nipple attachment is formed and refined so it holds evenly.

How to Wear It

Fasten the necklace first. If you chose chains, let them fall and attach each side in turn: rings ease open and close at the base of the nipple, nooses draw softly snug, and the bar is placed and adjusted until secure, never tight. Care Instructions

Clean the nipple attachments before and after every wear with warm water and a mild, unscented soap, then dry. Turquoise is porous: keep it away from water, perfume and lotions, and wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. The coated wire can tarnish with damp, so store it in a sealed pouch.
