Wire-Wrapped Pearl Earrings: Cage Pearl Cascade by REPIOR®

Three oval crystal pearls per earring, each one individually encased in a hand-formed copper wire cage. Six pearls in total. A long ear wire, 5cm of clean, architectural geometry, lets the cascade fall well below the lobe and catch the light as you move.

These wire-wrapped pearl earrings are not assembled from components. Each cage is formed by hand, shaped directly around the pearl’s natural curve and closed with a final twist of wire. The result is a piece that holds each pearl as if it had grown around it.

No two pairs are identical. That is the point.

The Cage Technique

The name of this piece is also its method. Wire wrapping is one of the oldest jewellery-making techniques, used for centuries before settings existed. At REPIOR®, we apply it at the scale of a single pearl: each one receives its own cage, formed individually, closed by hand.

The ear wire follows the same discipline. Its long, elongated line echoes the oval of the pearls and gives the earring a clean drop without weight.
