Symmetry, Given Wings

SUTURE borrows its name from the surgeon’s stitch: a line that closes, holds and heals. The butterfly adds a second idea, transformation, so the piece speaks of something that has been carefully held together and has become something new.

Each SUTURE Butterfly is assembled by hand in our studio. The butterfly is set at the centre, the chains balanced on either side, and the piece checked until both wings, and both lines, sit evenly.

How to Wear It

Start with clean, dry skin. Fit each anchor gently at the outer labia, closing it only until it feels secure and never pinches. Let the chains fall evenly so the butterfly settles at the centre. Care Instructions

Clean before and after every wear with warm water and a mild, unscented soap, and dry carefully around the butterfly. Keep it away from perfume and moisture and store it flat in a sealed pouch so the wings keep their shape. Never share intimate pieces.
