Aluminium Fake Ear Piercing: TETHER by REPIOR®
TETHER is an aluminium fake ear piercing, formed by hand from aluminium wire and fitted to sit on the ear as though it passed through the cartilage. It holds by gentle tension, so there is no needle, no healing and no hole to keep open. Aluminium makes it almost weightless.
A hammered finish catches light in small facets, like the surface of a pond under a breeze. A smooth one glows evenly. You choose the weather.

Balanced Tension
TETHER is a line that keeps two points in quiet tension. As a fake piercing, that tension does all the work: it keeps the ring snug on the ear so it reads as pierced, without pressing on the cartilage.
In our studio, the aluminium is shaped by hand and finished to your choice. For the hammered versions, the texture is struck by hand, so the facets fall differently on every piece. Each cuff is made for the left ear, the right ear, or as a pair.

How to Wear It
Open the cuff a fraction and slide it onto the rim of the ear it was made for. Press gently until it sits snug, as a pierced ring would. Aluminium is soft, so fine-tune the fit with your fingers, without bending it repeatedly in one spot. To remove, ease it open and slide it off.

Care Instructions
