NERVE is an aluminium clip-on septum ring with a skull motif: a fake septum piercing for those with a dark sense of humour and no wish for a needle.

Hand-formed aluminium wire clips gently onto the septum and holds by light tension, with the skull hanging at its lowest point. Light, nickel-free and gone in a second when you want it gone. Each skull is attached by hand, so yours will sit at its own slight angle.

Aluminium Clip-On Septum Ring: NERVE by REPIOR®

NERVE is an aluminium clip-on septum ring with a small skull at its centre. Formed by hand from aluminium wire, it clips gently onto the septum and holds by light tension, giving the look of a septum piercing without a needle. The skull sits just above the lip, looking out at the world.

It is a memento mori worn on the face: a small reminder, half joke, half philosophy, that life is short and should be worn boldly.

A Signature With Teeth

NERVE began as a piece someone asked for and became one of the signatures of our studio. You can read the story of the REPIOR NERVE on our journal. This septum version keeps the name and the nerve, and adds a skull.

Pilar shapes each ring by hand in aluminium wire and attaches the skull individually, then adjusts the opening so the ring clips on softly. Every NERVE is made one at a time, so each skull sits at its own slight angle.

How to Wear It

Hold the ring with the skull facing down and outward, slide the ends gently into the nostrils and let it clip onto the septum. Ease the opening slightly with your fingertips if it is too firm or too loose. Remove before sleeping. See our guide to non-piercing nose rings.
