Cat Ear Cuff in Aluminium: SHELL by REPIOR®
SHELL Cat is a cat ear cuff, shaped by hand from aluminium wire into a small cat that rests on the rim of the ear. It holds by gentle tension alone, so there is no piercing and no healing time. Aluminium keeps it extraordinarily light.
The cat sits at the edge, alert and composed, the way cats watch a room from the top of a bookcase.

A Cat on the Edge
SHELL is protective and exposed at once, a firm edge around something soft. On the ear, the wire outline of the cat forms that edge, framing the soft curve of the cartilage. The motif is playful; the line is precise.
In our studio, the cat is drawn in aluminium wire by hand, then fitted to the curve of the ear and refined until it sits close without pressing. Each one has its own small expression.

How to Wear It
Open the cuff a fraction and slide it onto the rim of the ear. Position the cat where you like, upper helix or nearer the lobe, then press gently until secure. Aluminium is soft, so adjust the fit with your fingers if needed. Remove by easing it open and sliding it off.

Care Instructions

Questions
Does an ear cuff without a piercing hurt?
It should not. SHELL rests on the rim of the ear with light, even pressure. If it pinches, open it a fraction; if it feels loose, close it a little until it sits snug.
Where should the cat sit?
Wherever you like: high on the helix, looking out, or lower towards the lobe. Aluminium is soft, so adjust the fit gently with your fingers.
Is aluminium good for sensitive ears?
