Wood Nipple Chain: STITCH by REPIOR®

STITCH is a wood nipple chain, handmade in our studio in England. Natural wood details are worked into a line of hand-formed wire that crosses the chest from nipple to nipple, fastened at each end without piercing. You choose how it attaches: tension-held rings, soft cord nooses, or clamps in several shapes.

Wood changes the temperature of the piece. It is warm where metal would be cool, and it gives the chain the feeling of something found rather than manufactured.

Grown, then gathered, then worn.

A Seam of Wood and Wire

STITCH is a single pass of thread through cloth, drawn in metal. In this version the thread picks up wood along its way, as if the line had been sewn through a garment made of branches. The result sits between jewellery and craft object.

Pilar shapes the wire by hand, threads the wood into place, and fits the attachments you have chosen. Wood has grain, knots and shifts of tone, so each chain carries details no other will share.

How to Wear It

Care Instructions

Keep the wood dry: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and never soak it. Clean the attachments before and after every wear with warm water and a mild, unscented soap, keeping the wood out of the water, and dry thoroughly. Store away from perfume and humidity. Never share intimate pieces, and stop at once if you feel numbness, pain or a change in skin colour.
